Three important tips for your car’s maintenance

One thing most people hate to do or neglect is maintaining their car.  But if you think about it that is a very bad thing to do.After all, a car is not something cheap and you invested a lot of money in buying it.So you really have to maintain it.Especially since not making it undergo maintenance would bring you more expenses in the long run. So here are three things you can do to make sure your car lasts a long time.

Regularly changing the oils of your car is the fisrt tip that I would give you.  The oil is the lifeblood of the car and like people if the blood isn’t good it won’t work well. Generally I tell all my customers of my San Diego auto repair shop to make sure to change their oil every 3000 miles. That should be good enough to make your car run nicely.

Another tip which can be very useful for the maintenance of your car is have it go through regular tuneups.  Tune ups are essential for your car because it lets you make sure everything is working fine.You can also change parts of the car which are already worn out. Customers of my San Diego smog check shop who fail their smog test I always tell them to do this.Most of the time they fail their smog test because they did not make their cars go through regular tuneups.

The third tip I woud give is to always maintain the brakes of your car.They are important for you to look after because they are not only expensive to replace.They are very important because this is what keeps you from hitting other objects which can kill you. Good working brakes can save your life anytime you need to stop fast.  I tell my customers of my San Diego brakes shop to always keep their brake fluid good.
